Apple and Cisco have announced a settlement of the iPhone trademark lawsuit, leaving the two companies free to use the iPhone name on their products around the world. In a joint statement, Apple and Cisco said that each company has full rights to the iPhone trademark and that all pending actions covering the trademark will be dismissed. The two companies will also “explore opportunities for interoperability in the areas of security, and consumer and enterprise communications,” according to the statement.
